15 WEEKS

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Our daughter took this photo on Massimo's 15 week birthday. He is really a big boy and almost half the size of his Mom, Nina.

12 WEEKS OLD

Belle has gone to her new home and Massimo is staying here with us. He's 12 weeks old today and is spending some quality time with his Dad. He is a real sweetie!

7 Weeks Old

The Clydesdales came to town today. It is the 40th anniversary of the "Squire" so they came to celebrate. They are BIG horses. Anyway, we tried to get a family portrait for our 7 week shot but just couldn't get 3 dogs to pose together. Here they are separately with their Mom, Nina.

6 Weeks Old

Belle and Massimo have become so active that we needed to get them puppy harnesses. They seem to take off and in opposite directions! Here we are getting ready for a rip snorting walk up and down the driveway.

5 Weeks Old

The puppies are 5 weeks old today. We've had abusy weekend with family arriving to visit. Massimo and Belle were the stars of the show. They spent lots of time outside and lots of time being picked up and loved. They are really beginning to play and explore their world.

4 Weeks Old

The puppies are 4 weeks old tomorrow and they now have teeth! Nina is still willing to nurse them but we have started food. It's alittle messy but they seem to love it and they don't have to work as hard. They are playing with each other wrestling and gnawing at one another. Teething is a pain!

The puppies had their first playtime out on the patio. They had a great time.

2 Weeks/Eyes Opening

• Tomorrow is two weeks and they are getting big and their eyes are opening. Massimo has his eyes almost completely open and Belle is just starting. Both have become very active especially when Mom steps into the whelping pen. They pick up their heads and sniff the air. Aaaaahhhh! food is in the vicinity!

One Week Old

Belle at one week . She is a sweetie, a gentle disposition but a vigorous nurser!

It is Sunday 10 AM and we are still waiting and working. Matron doing fine but taking her time.

Due Date Today

Today is our due date and no puppies yet. Nina is storing up sleep for the events to come! She is ready to go, puppy belly and all!

Technical Difficulty

Hi everyone,
No puppies yet although it is getting close, tomorrow is our due date and it would be great to have all the pups delivered. We've lost the cable that connects our camera to our computer so no pictures on this posting. Nina is still taking three or four brisk walks everyday hoping to get those puppies on their way out! They kick alot and sometimes she makes a startled yip-yip when one of them is particularly active. It's been cool here in Massachusetts which is nice for an expectant mother. Hopefully our next posting will be puppy pictures!

Our Whelping Pen

Although this isn't one her best pictures, Nina agreed to pose in her whelping pen. We are all set up and ready to go, hopefully in 7 days.

Boat Ride 8/4/08

Here we are having a great boat ride around Monomoy Island. Cool breeze and warm sun. 10 days till our due date. What fun!

For all who are following our progress, Nina is doing well, walking everyday and swimming on warm sunny afternoons. She is getting bigger and bigger around the middle. We have about 12 days to go.
